  • Experience BOTOX® Treatment: A Proactive Approach to Managing Chronic Migraine
BOTOX® treatment targets specific sites in your head and neck, strategically chosen to address the areas commonly affected by Chronic Migraine. By administering injections in these proven locations, BOTOX aims to prevent headaches and migraine attacks before they even begin.*

  • The injection process typically lasts around 10 minutes and takes place in the comfort of your doctor's office. After the procedure, you are free to go home immediately.

  • During the injections, a small needle is used, resulting in minimal discomfort that is often described as tiny pinches.

  • To achieve optimal results, the treatment is usually initiated with 2 sessions spaced 12 weeks apart. You may start noticing improvements as early as 4 weeks, with the full effect expected by week 24. Afterward, ongoing treatment is typically recommended every 12 weeks, amounting to just 4 sessions per year—according to your doctor's recommendations.

Embark on a proactive approach to managing Chronic Migraine with BOTOX® treatment. Consult with your healthcare provider to explore if this treatment option is suitable for you and to establish a personalized plan that addresses your unique needs.

It's important to note that while BOTOX treatment can be highly effective, there are potential serious side effects that require attention. If you experience any of the following problems after BOTOX injection, seek immediate medical help:

  • Difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing: Weakening of associated muscles can lead to severe complications, and if these issues were present prior to the injection, the risk is higher. Swallowing difficulties may persist for several months.

  • Spread of toxin effects: Botulinum toxin may have an impact beyond the injection site, resulting in significant symptoms such as muscle weakness throughout the body, double or blurred vision, drooping eyelids, hoarseness or changes in voice, difficulty articulating words clearly, loss of bladder control, breathing difficulties, and trouble swallowing.

  • Additional side effects of BOTOX can include dry mouth, discomfort or pain at the injection site, fatigue, headaches, neck pain, eye problems (such as double or blurred vision, decreased eyesight, drooping eyelids, eyelid swelling, and dry eyes), drooping eyebrows, and upper respiratory tract infections.

It is crucial to consult with a healthcare professional to assess if BOTOX treatment is suitable for you and to understand the potential risks and benefits associated with the procedure. Your provider will guide you through the process, ensuring your safety and well-being throughout the treatment.
